Tropical Storm Ernesto Batters Caribbean, Takes Aim at Puerto Rico

Storm Brings Strong Winds, Heavy Rain; Expected to Become Hurricane

Tropical Storm Ernesto is expected to strengthen into a hurricane by Tuesday night, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Tropical storm-force winds are already being felt across the region, with gusts reaching as far as the outer bands of the storm.
