Defender Set To Stay At Club Until June 2027

Luke Shaw Signs New Four-Year Contract with Manchester United

Defender Set to Stay at Club Until June 2027

Luke Shaw has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United, keeping him at the club until June 2027. The 27-year-old defender has been a key player for United since joining from Southampton in 2014, making over 150 appearances for the club.

Shaw missed the final weeks of the 2021-22 season following surgery to remove pins from his leg that were inserted after breaking it in 2015. However, he has since returned to full fitness and has been included in Gareth Southgate's England squad for the upcoming Nations League finals.

Southgate Hails Shaw's Fitness

Speaking about Shaw's fitness, Southgate said: "Luke is a very important player for us and I'm delighted that he's fit and available for selection. He's had a tough few months with his injury, but he's worked hard to get back to full fitness and he's now looking sharp in training."

Shaw's new contract is a sign of the club's faith in him and his ability. He is now expected to be a key player for United in the upcoming season as the club looks to challenge for trophies under new manager Erik ten Hag.
